About Us

Our rich history

With a 30-year history in primary healthcare, on 1st January 2025 GP down south rebranded to OSECA. Our past informs our future. 

GP down south Limited is an Australian Public Company (limited by guarantee) operating under the Australian Corporations Act 2001, trading as Oseca Health [Oseca]. The company is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC). We provide health and wellbeing services in the Peel regions and the South West of WA.

In the Peel region we operate Nidjalla Waangan Mia Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Centre, the Oseca Peel Health Hub services (inclusive of GP, nursing and Clinical Care Coordination services), the Youth Growth School Program and the Assertive Outreach Team in Mandurah and surrounds. We own and manage the Peel Health Hub alongside other committed, health and community service agencies.

In the South West, we provide Mental Health, Living Healthy (Chronic Condition) Services, My Health Partnerships (Care Coordination) and Down South Aboriginal Health Services. Our South West footprint includes offices in Collie, Busselton, Bunbury and Manjimup.

Our funding is predominantly received through Commonwealth and State Health Departments. We are funded via; WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA), Department of Health, WA Health, Mental Health Commission WA and WACHS. We acknowledge State funding from Lotterywest in 2024 towards the new Manjimup Health Hub fitout.  Oseca is accredited under AS/NZS 9001:2015 and the National Standards for Mental Health Services by the Institute for Healthy Communities Australia (IHCA). Nidjalla Waangan Mia and PYMS at Peel Health Hub are accredited under AGPAL.

We are a member organisation, with Primary Members being providers of primary health care services currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) who wish to support the aims and objectives of the company.  Any person wishing to support the aims and objectives of the company may apply to become an Associate Member.
