Another fantastic Cultural Awareness and Safety Session took place this week in Bunbury for Team Oseca Health – led by Zac Webb from Undalup.
As a primary healthcare provider focused on integrating lived experience and consumer engagement into our services, we were privileged to learn from Zac’s insights on combining program and individual KPIs with Cultural Performance Indicators (CPIs) – knowledge drawn from Elders and community members across our regions. These lessons help guide us in delivering care that is both effective and culturally grounded.
Our cultural awareness sessions continue to bring together not only our dedicated employees and leadership team – but also our Board Directors. This week, Chair David Barton joined the session, reinforcing that leadership is not only about oversight – it is about engagement, learning, and leading by example.
When Board members actively participate in training, it:
✅ Reinforces a culture of continuous learning
✅ Demonstrates respect for the operational team’s expertise
✅ Builds alignment between strategy and day-to-day execution
✅ Inspires teams by showing that no one is above growth
At Oseca Health, our Board’s commitment reminds us that true leadership begins with showing up – humbly, curiously, and side by side with the team.
