Welcome our General Manager of Clinical Operations

Oseca is pleased to welcome Philip Vuong as our General Manager of Clinical Operations. In this role, Philip is responsible for fostering a culture of safe clinical governance, leading clinical complaint and incident investigations, overseeing credentialing and quality improvement, and ensuring the delivery of safe, contemporary and holistic care for our First Nations people.

Philip brings over 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, beginning his career in the Emergency Department at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He has since worked across diverse settings including Intensive Care, Occupational Health in the mining sector, and as a Clinical Nurse Manager in small hospitals across remote and rural Western Australia.

His passion lies in improving equitable access to primary health care for all Australians, with a particular focus on Indigenous communities and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

Philip also serves as a Reservist Nursing Officer within the Australian Defence Force. Commissioned as a Lieutenant in 2017, he joined to contribute to Defence’s capability and readiness. Born to Vietnamese refugees, Philip has always felt compelled to serve and be part of an organisation known for its discipline, mateship, professionalism and service both at home and abroad.

He holds Bachelor degrees in Business and Nursing from the Queensland University of Technology, and is currently completing a Master of Business Administration at Swinburne University as well as a Certificate in Clinical Governance for Patient Safety and Quality Care through the Australian Institute of Clinical Governance.
